hello my good friends
my name is mr. bread
i’d like to introduce myself
somebody knows me
for what i really am

i like to write songs
of a different kind i know
but is there a limit to these words?
when mr. bread sings
he’s stupid or maybe not
it depends on what you want to hear
in this short story
you know i’m not alone
i’ve got with me two other crumbs
they’re more than nothing
like me as far as i’m concerned
this crazy world of music-ness

watch out for the several steps
take a look around and then you relax
have your weight written down on your hand
sign the paper and then you are ready to go
look at the tower that you have to climb up
number two follow the other one
reach the top panting for the effort
now you are fortyfour metres up
hear the noise of the rope stretching
screaming people launching from a small pad
pay attention trainers are calling you
“sit down please i have to tie your feet”
it’s almost finished and your heart starts to beat
number one has gone and now it’s your turn
your body’s shaking but you’re ready to go
you’re on the pad now and you won’t come back
the only thing you can do now is take a big deep breath and...
jump from the bridge!
airborne now falling as fast as a brick
just a few seconds fall the rope starts to stretch
everything’s o.k. but you don’t care
shivers reach your soul free in the air
second swing, third, fourth and so on
stopping now they are coming for you
reach the ground you can’t control your legs
in spite of it all you could have a second try
the only thing you can do now is take a big deep breath and...
jump from the bridge!
